Type of business: Food processing company. Diversification strategy:
I. In the time of pandemic people tend not to leave their household so often, and what follows, do the large shopping for a longer time period or even have their groceries delivered from online stores. In this situation, there is a high demand for long expiry date food products or even hermetically packed ready meals, which are easy to deliver and store. Looking at the company industry model, we would suggest releasing the line of hermetically packed, ready meals with long expiry date.
II. Taking into account the experience of the company in similar projects, but also the required production line upgrades and the difficulties experienced by gastronomy equipment industry due to Covid19 pandemic, we forecast this product to arrive on market in 8-9 months after the project launch. However, the time may change if the market is about to encounter another hard lockdown.
III. The reconstruction of the production line as also the package development and product marketing could be partly financed with the government help as a part of the ,,corona pandemic fight" programme. The rest of required resources (25% of total cost) could be covered with company development fund.
IV. In order to qualify for the government programme, our product would have to be made in 85% of polish origin ingredients and be signed with ,,PRODUKT POLSKI" mark. Also, to get the funding in a short period of time, the company is obliged to present the latest annual financial report.
