Brief description:

Theme: Visual Art / Artists. The topic of the project will be a spatial object related to the work of a selected artist or art collective. This subject provides an opportunity to learn about selected art movements and their creative application in design. Over the centuries, visual arts have been integrated into architecture in various ways, and some avant-garde movements of the early 20th century influenced the development of architectural thought (e.g., Cubism, Expressionism, Constructivism and Neoplasticism). When selecting an artist, it is important to document their position in art history and in the social and cultural context. The spatial form will be realized in a cycle of three stages of transformation. First, the flat black and white graphic composition should be completed, which will then be transformed into a color composition. The final effect of the transformation process is a spatial object, by definition devoid of utilitarian functions.

The spatial object is the main goal of the art design class.
