The course “Vehicle Dynamics (M:320383W0)” includes lectures, tutorials, laboratory classes, and project work, introducing students to the principles of vehicle motion and performance.
The lecture component covers fundamental theoretical concepts, including vehicle motion resistance, tire–road interaction, forces acting on a vehicle, as well as principles of engine selection, drivetrain configuration, and gear ratio selection. It also addresses braking processes and selected aspects of vehicle construction.
The tutorial and laboratory components enable students to analyze and interpret dynamic phenomena through calculations and experimental data. Within the project component, students solve engineering problems related to the selection of vehicle parameters and the evaluation of vehicle performance.
The aim of the course is to integrate theoretical knowledge with its practical application in the analysis and design of vehicle systems.
