The past semester was undoubtedly very unique and unusual. I believe we have learned a lot throughout the lockdown and adapted well to the new reality.

Humans are social creatures and that means it is crucial for us to interact and sometimes even depend on others. That is why keeping up and in touch with your closest friends and family is such an important aspect when it comes to the matter of mental health. We should all be aware that sharing any uncertainties or doubts with the people we trust can help us let steam off and often find a solution to the problem.

We should also try to take some advantage of the times we have come to live in by developing new skills. The internet is an infinite source of various forms of entertainment, as well as knowledge. Whether it is an online course or a tutorial video, learning new things can increase our feeling of self-satisfaction.

Body and mind are strongly connected, so keeping in good physical shape also has a positive impact on how we feel. In fact, exercise reduces the level of stress hormones (adrenaline and cortisol) and increases the production of endorphins.
