Changes are difficult, for everyone. I think it might be more difficult when someone from outside the firm comes and tell the staff to change the way they worked before. People quickly get used to doing something in a certain way. There also might be a problem with trust issues.
In my opinion, this resistance can be overcome by encouraging staff you to try the “new way” if they see themselves that it's easier for them or get the job done quicker, so they have more free time or don’t have to finish job overtime. They might like it and approve.
