I think that headhunting is something that just happens in business. It could be an unappreciated ive career path. Headhunter's task is to find the best possible person to take a specific job. It is an individual matter whether to take such an offer or not.
It could be an appealing excellent/once-in-a-lifetime chance to take that job if you feel like changing your life or if it could progress your career. When a consultant approaches an executive and tells them openly about their interests in hiring them chance of being hirec by another company, then it is ethical. However, it can hurt when an excellent employee lives for another company. Unethical and unprofessional thing is to show a hostile attitude towards a the former employee.
