The eighth month of fighting the coronavirus in our country is currently underway. Autumn has brought the worst pandemic situation so far. Companies have realized that they can no longer count on state aid and must take the appropriate steps themselves to keep afloat. That’s why an ambitious and well known restaurant “The Depot” decided to trust our consultancy group. 

We conducted many studies commissioned by our client, came to several conclusions and, at the end, proposed a solution. In the era of pandemics, people are less interested in visiting restaurants, which means that owners are experiencing a drop in revenues. It’s hard to encourage customers to visit a restaurant.  The company has problems with planning purchases of food products in dynamically changing conditions, and too many waiters contribute to generating losses. 

 We checked which dishes were the worst selling and suggested reducing the menu by 50% to reduce the loss on products. We also proposed to focus on selling take-away food. This idea requires the employment of more drivers and the laying off of waiters in the restaurant for the duration of pandemic. But the most important idea of our consultancy group is to propose to the owners of the restaurant to rely on the best possible products available on the market. Thanks to this, “The Depot” will retain its prestige and stand out from other take-away restaurants.

 Reduction of menu positions will not be a problem for “The Depot”. It could be made by the next day of making the decision to do it. 

 Many people spend their time at home. Intensity of using social media definitely increased, so we will invest in promotion in ads in social media like Facebook and Instagram. Some marketing activities which were popular before the coronavirus pandemic like handing out leaflets will be ineffective, because it will be hard to make. 

 When we observe the critical situation of the gastronomy sector, “The Depot” don’t want to have financial losses, well any terms which guarantee them to make a profit from their own business will be profitable for them. One of an idea is investing by an investor 100.000 dollars to “The Depot” instead of 20% of profits by 5 years.
