The studio will use practical interventions to explore how climate change is affecting transformations in urban / non-urban space in Gdansk. Through the identification of problems and the importance of reading the consequences in space and architecture, students will learn about the method of opening a critical public debate. Through a variety of topics and actions – micro interventions, they will record their observations and explore public behaviour. They will use various media to gather the repository of the existing space and to define new perspectives.
Objectives:
A multidisciplinary and multimedia approach, team work, critical thinking and resolving problems methodology will encourage the students to recognize the importance and consequences of the climate change in our everyday life and how to act as professionals inside the global rules. Proposed assignments – practical exercise:
1. Defining the problem in the city of the space that change under the consequences of climate change - analysing the space and its transformation through different criteria and media / repository - booklet
2. Making intervention and observing/documenting the public behaviour – reactions in space and time - for documentation use different media Final presentation – video, photography, drawings, writings, …+ REPOSITORY booklet (dairy, collection,…)
