As part of the elective seminar, students working in groups of 3 people will prepare architectural and lighting concept for an international competition: "MOVABLE HOUSE – The Home of a Modern Nomad " organized by the Polish Lighting Industry Association), co-organized by Goczołowie Architekci OVO Grąbczewscy Architects and the SOMA Agency, the organizer of the International LIGHT Fair.

More information here about the competition here: https://lightfair.pl/green-shoots-competition/

The subject of the competition work is a mobile house on wheels. It can be an adaptation for a moving house, a van, a bus, or even a tinplate with "lorry" approval. It can also be a structure built from scratch on the chassis offered by automotive companies, e.g. on the chassis for installation of Fiat Ducato. Chassis can have different wheelbase lengths, different types of overhang behind the rear axle and different track widths.

The Jury expects unconventional design solutions with the use of specific design solutions (i.e. certain types of chassis) meeting the technical parameters and regulations on vehicle equipment.

An important role in the designed MOVABLE HOUSE might be the analysis of the impact of both natural and artificial light on the character and interior and exterior space of a house on wheels, to create a specific style in it.

The project may be purely theoretical. It is important to present the line of thought and reasons for the next creative design decisions, as well as to present the details. When designing, the role of lighting in the designed solution and, if it is important, in its immediate surroundings, should be taken into account, as well as the visual and impression effect caused by light. You should also remember about the safety of use related to the distribution of the luminous flux and the safety resulting from connection to the electric power supply.

The project requires:
• General explanation of the principles of building the structure, arrangement of rooms and buildings internal, distribution of internal installations, identification of the materials used
• Explanations of the lighting used for interior lighting and, if it results from the design, in its immediate vicinity, how it is used and how it is supplied with electricity

When designing and creating an object or interior, use KANLUX lighting solutions with appropriate lighting parameters and decorative values. The type or types of lighting solutions used is whichever, provided that they form a single, coherent whole with the architectural and spatial elements of the house structure on wheels. They must also meet the requirements of the function for which they are applied.
