Honestly I’m not fully convinced if it’s true or not. The fact is that, nowadays, headhunting is a vital part of the recruitment process. It is known as something that is extremely effective, that's why it's so popular in various companies. In my opinion it all depends on the headhunters, on their values, how they obey the values etc. Basically it doesn’t seem to be a bad thing – it helps you discover and develop your hidden talents, find a satisfying job. But on the other hand, if you work as a headhunter you can’t show compassion and you should be very strict and precise. That’re These are propably the reasons why some people claim it’s not that ethical.
